The following dates are confirmed group sessions for Exeter Astrology Group.
Please note that there is no formal group meeting in August due to our summer break. However we have organised a social meeting - details below.
Ed will be giving an insight into astrology on a local level. The transition town phenomenon began in southwest England. Ed will be explaining how this might be a positive manifestation of the energy of the solar eclipse of the August 1999 that fell across Devon and Cornwall. Ed will also look at the astrology of the Eden Project, and the Modbury 'bag-free' initiative. Fascinatingly, the Royal Stars of the Persians - Aldebaran, Regulus, Antares and Fomalhaut, seem to play a prominent role in each chart. The astrology of the distant past reaches across 5000 years of human history to touch the southwest.
Please join us for our monthly social get together at The George on South Street, Exeter. We meet at 5:30PM. Current, new and past members are welcome.
We will not have a formal meeting in August. However, a social activity is organised for this Sunday in August. Please meet at the Mill on the Exe at 12:00-12.30PM for a lunchtime meal and drink. Current, new and past members are very welcome to come along and join us for the afternoon.
Jennie Fernyhough will be presenting the first session of our autumn talks. Jennie says of this major sign change: subconscious distortions, psychic abilities, artistic talents, love in a mist, overly sensitive, spiritual and watery are all keythoughts. Deep water and deep feelings. This new era for Neptune, moving into its own sign for the first time since the nineteenth century, is sure to bring key shifts in our emotional and psychological lives.

The last phase of Princess Diana's life was characterised by key associations with Africa - her landmines awareness campaign, and her relationship with Dodi Fayed. What does astrolocality tell us about the meaning of these associations? How significant were these two aspects of her life in shaping our memory and understanding of Diana? Ed will talking about Diana and her life in this context.

Dietrech Pessin, an American astrologer, developed a powerful technique for looking at cycles of lunations and eclipses. She called these cycles 'moon families'. Ed will explain how these 'moon families' can provide a powerful background for phases of life that seem, at first, unconnected. However, the Metonic cycle, a nineteen year repetition of new and full moons, interwoven with eclipses, and linked in Pessin's 'moon family' chains, can provide dramatic insights into self-development and personal growth. Ed describes these cycles as 'moon family narratives'.
